‘Twas is Coming! ‘Twas is Coming!

‘Twas: Twas the Night Before Christmas, Improvised

A Holiday Improv Show by Improv Asylum in Boston

Saturdays and Sundays 3:00pm

11/29 – 12/28

But… what’s Twas

It’s a fun-filled holiday show that takes the classic tale of Santa’s visit from “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” to create ‘Twas – A Family-Friendly Holiday Improv Show, turning the poem on its pointed elf ears. Using audience-inspired suggestions and a cast of incredibly funny comedians, singers, and dancers, our friends over at Improv Asylum have baked up a fresh batch of family-friendly, holiday warmth and humor and brought it over to the Theater District!

Using Clement Clark Moore’s immortal poem as its base, ‘Twas updates a classic with modern sensibilities to create an absurd mix of old and new that will leave the whole family howling with delight. Letting you, your family, and friends dictate the details of the story will lead to truly surreal comedy – Imagine your wandering eyes when appear, but a miniature dachshund and eight tiny Labubus? It’s entirely up to you!

About the Show

Looking for a new holiday tradition in Boston? Frequently Asked Questions - 'Twas

Is this show just for kids?

Answer: This show is for EVERYONE. While it’s definitely a family-friendly show, adults will also find this wholesome and hilarious performance the perfect holiday treat. And there are definitely bound to be some jokes that go over the kids’ heads…

Do people get brought up on stage?

They sure do! Have a little one that is ready for the limelight? If they raise their hand when the actors ask for volunteers, they might just be able to join the performance onstage!

My kid might not be the most courteous audience member just yet, can we still come?

Of course! Our performers are trained to work with children and our staff understands that sometimes kids can be a bit noisy. Seeing as how it’s a family-friendly show, we understand that sometimes fledgling audience members need some time adjusting! And if they need a moment, you can leave the theater and come back in at any time!

Does this have anything to do with that other show?

Hah, great question! No, our show is an improv comedy show at Lil Chuck at the Charles Playhouse produced by Improv Asylum, the other show around the corner at The Boch Center is from Cirque do Soleil and it’s called ‘Twas The Night Before. So… yeah. Similar titles, but very different shows.
